We have something called the Mac Protector Virus on our MAC and it's making all kinds of requests to "clean up" our system. It also makes pop ups. Can someone please help me clean this virus off our system?

First, I want to ask you a few questions:
What is your Mac OS version?
I have heard of this rogue, and I believe it come in the form of a software package.
Did you install it? Did you provide the password to install the package?
Could you remember the URL that infected you?
Are you still keeping the installation package?
