Since I was disgusted with Incredimails unprofessional animations which automatically appear on outgoing emails, I installed pegasus email today. I changed my default from Incredimail to Pegasus and then in the process of downloading it, I was asked for both the POP3 info and the SMTP info. I don't know if the way I entered it was wrong, but this is how I entered that info:

incoming.verizon.net
outgoing.verizon.net

Did I enter that information incorrectly and maybe is that why, when I sent an email, I got the following message?:

Delivery has failed on the enclosed message for the following reasons reported either by the mail delivery system on the mail relay host or by the local TCP/IP transport module.
550.5.7.1 Authenication required.
