Hard Drive Restore

I would like to put a restore on my hard drive like laptops have. Im not to swift at things but id imigian first id have to make a partition then some how copy a new install to the partition made, but dont know how .
I have downloaded partition magic,to make the partition,not the easiest program to understand, is there one easire? and what program can be used to copy fresh install to the new partition? also,how do i se a designated key such as f11 to restore if needed?
As i siad, im not to swift at this kind of thing, so simplicity in directions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if it's even possible. If I were you I'd buy another hdd either exterenal or internal and just clone the hdd with something like this It's free and 1000 x's easier.
