Afternoon,

After removing some malware/virus last month and getting PC fixed, I performed the suggestions on the forums to include;

Norton itself, Smart Firewall off.
Comodo, Firewall only.
Spyware Guard
Spyware Blaster
MalwareByte's Anti-Malware
Moozilla Firefox 4 with Add-Ons; Adblock Plus, Fastest Fox, Key Scrambler, & NoScript
Signed up to OpenDNS (MVP HOSTS file changes)

Ran the JavaRa to clear old Java, and DL'ed current Java.
DL'ed Foxit pdf Viewer, and Deleted Adobe reader 9
Ran TFC.
Ran FileHippo.

Checking out;
Auslogics Defrag
Autoruns
Revo Uninstaller
SystemRestorePoint

Today I tried to run Vassal, a system to play tabletop type games online, and keep getting this message;

Socket Error

The socket over which the Module Manager communicates has had a fault. Please restart VASSAL. (Which doesn't help obviously.)

Clicking details shows;

I searched online, but didn't see any fixes that help. Not sure if this is purely a JAVA issue, or if it has something to do with changing the HOSTS file. Trying to run Vassal without Comodo, Norton, or SpyGuard makes no difference in the error.
