Unknown malware was installed on this machine by the owner, running the uninstaller and cancelling made the system unbootable. After running the following, and some creative partition restore procedures from old and recent backups it appears the system is stable again and minimal owner data lost. I've not used combofix before, it did find some issues and repaired them. Are there further issues that need to be addressed?

Here's the list of the recovery disks applied to the infected drive in order:
  • DSRFIX
  • Kaspersky Rescue Disk
  • BitDefender Rescue Disk
  • AVG Rescue CD
  • Avira Rescue Disk
  • SuperAntiSpyware - Standalone
  • Malwarebytes
  • HitmanPro
  • Spybot S&D
  • Ad-Aware
  • Norton Security Suite 5
  • Combofix
