I have a compaq mini 110.
I appear to have a virus. It is not been detected by my security. I have been online and used online virus protection wed site. Can any one help?

The symptoms are as follow.

First noticed that when i went to Start- all programs shows (file empty)

Cannot perform a system restore

If I go into add remove programs all files are on computer.

If I go into program files/windows all files appear to have been renaimed

I cannot boot from USB to re install Windows
