I've come back from a couple of days away to find that a family member has used the Windows start-up disk to do a disk or sector repair on the system, and the computer is now able to boot from HDD without any issues. The family member has also installed Norton 360 and run a scan - apparently a few issues were found by Norton and were removed. However, the computer is now running really, REALLY slow, so I suspect that there are still issues with the computer. What steps should we take to ensure that the PC is clean?

OK. Let's do quick scan to see where we are now.
- Run OTL.
- Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
- Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
- When the scan completes, it will open notepad window. OTL.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
- Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of this file, and post it with your next reply.
