MY MODEM WILL CONNECT TO THE INTERNET BUT MY O/S WILL NOT I HAVE IE AND FIREFOX AND NEITHER WILL CONNECT TO MY ROADRUNNER SERVICE. BUT IN NETWORK CONNECTIONS MY DSL MODEM AND MY NIC CARD ARE BOTH CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET. I'M TOLD TO REPAIR WIN XP BUT DO NOT HAVE THE DISK, ANY CHANCE I CAN DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS FOR TCP/IP??? JUST ASKING AS AT THE MOMENT I CANNOT ACCESS MY HI-SPEED SERVICE. AND LOADING SP2 WOULD TAKE DAYS WITH EV1. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED YOUR FRIEND IN TECH. DA MISSIN LINK

Have you tried using the internet connection wizzard. This is start, all programs, accessories, communications, new connection. Or how about under internet explorer, tools, internet options, connections? You can order SP2 from M$ (on the internet!) for free. Have you tried control panel, internet options?
