Ive recently performed a firmware update on the super drive of an eMac a friend just gave me. Once it rebooted from the update, it wouldnt totally boot up to the desktop and the little color wheel cursor icon stayed up for what i deemed as way too long. So i turned the machine off and restarted it. Now it wont boot to anything but the gray screen with the question mark icon. Ive done some research on the problem and have tried to fix it through safe mode and also through single user mode but it wont boot to either of those modes. Also, my disc tray wont open, so i cant try running any tools off disc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
