Hello, thanks in advance for any help.

I recently got a computer from a friend and I want to use it to run left for dead 2 or some large .mkv files. I was wondering what I would need to upgrade here to run them without studdering (but I am on a bit of a budget):

Specs:
HP Compaq dx2400 microtower
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz core speed 1.60 GHz
Pegatron 2A73h motherboard
2GB DDR2 Ram 400 MHz
Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset family

Thanks again!

Upgrading your video card would help immensely. AMD Radeon HD 6670 or 5770. These run between $80-100. If you can afford a bit more then I would suggest the Nvidia 460. The rest of the specs look good to me.
