The 3 most common mounting systems for display stand are through a work surface + clamp,

a clamp over the edge of the work surface, these look good.

I don't think that will work because of the way his desk is set up. It's an "L" shaped desk and he has all the monitors in the corner. So you wouldn't have a flat edge to attach the mount.

and free standing ones, (i would drill the base and fasten it down) this manufacturer is often sited as one of the best, but expensive.

That one looks nice and I see they indicate it can be fastened to the desk so I'm assuming it has a metal base. Have you ever ordered from this company before and are they safe to purchase from?

Info, NAS. http://www.anandtech...-smb-nas-review

Yeah, Synology is definitely the way to go when it comes to a NAS. I have the DS209+ and love that little thing almost as much as I love my unRAID server. :)

Thanks for putting all that together iammykyl.

No, have not used that company. You will have to see if you can find user reviews for feedback. Also what length and type of warranty.

I see they take PayPal, so that might be an option. I'll search around and see if I can find any feedback on them before I have my buddy order the stand.

EDIT -> It looks like they sell through Amazon and have 4.9 stars out of 5 for 210 reviews. I think that says it all. If he decides to go that route, I'll update this thread once everything arrives. I hope he does, because I think playing with quad monitors would be fun! :)

I am not pushing this product, I do not have any reviews for the monitor it is just a deal from Newegg and it might be suitable.

Yes, the reviews are pretty good.

Look forward to your next post.

Yeah, that monitor looks like a great deal. I'm going to stop by his place on my way home from work and see what he wants to do.
