I have an Acer Aspire One netbook with windows xp, which I'm trying to hook up to my tv, to use it as a bigger monitor. I bought the rca/svideo to vga cable and plugged it all in. When I hit Fn+F5 to switch output, it doesn't give me any options to switch to a monitor, just shows my computer icon.. I've tried hooking it up to a computer monitor, and it works fine then. Why won't it work to my tv? Do I have to change some other output settings?

Thanks.

Not sure what that means. Are you saying the TV is not detected? Are you sure the TV is set to the correct input?
