Hi falkirklass,

Welcome to Geeks to go! :)

Were you able to burn CD's in the past?

What error message are you receiving?

What do you mean by, "its not the disc I've tried others?" Do other disks burn or do other disks play in the CD-Rom that are already burnt?

Some disks can only be written to once. Could it be that that one has already been used?

The following link may be helpful:

The Windows Media Player Won't Burn Discs

There are several types of disks used for burning. Please see the link below for information concerning the type of CD/DVD that you will need.
