I'm attempting to fix a laptop that simply re-starts no matter what F8 option I try. I've downloaded a Hitachi hard disk scanning ISO and found no failure issues. Wen I try using the Vista cd or system repair, nothing seems to happen. The Windows starting thing just shows the green thing going across over and over for about a half hour and I just shut it off. There seems to be continuous disk activity when I try either option.

Are there any hidden function options I could try? What are my options?

Thanks

Problem solved. Went into BIOS and changed SATA to IDE or something similar. At least I'm making progress now...
