locked hp elite?

recently bought a HP ELITEBOOK 6930p well it was locked up when i bought it second hand...yea me! I need advice how to unlock it, i have the software and want to unlock format and reinstall a new os??? help

Do you mean it is password protected? If so as long as the supplier was entitled to sell the computer they will have no problem providing the password as we cannot assist you with what may be a legitimate request as we have no way of knowing.
