I've just built a new system. I've installed two car racing games. One is Nascar Racing 2003 Season by Sierra/Papyrus and the other is World of Outlaws 2002 by Ratbag.
The Nascar game works just fine online or offline running at 1280 x 960 x 32 bit with all features turned on. The World of Outlaws game at the same resolution causes the monitor to shut down after only a couple minutes. There is a small message that appears on the screen that reads "Monitor in Power Save Mode, Use PC to Initiate".
I then have no other choice but to power down the CPU and turn it back on for a complete restart.

My system is:

Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra 9 mobo
AMD Athalon 64
1 GB ram
Leadtek PX6600 GT THD PCI-E video

Nothing is overclocked.

Any clues? Thanks
