Call of Duty 2 reinstall after unistall problems

hello i recently bought call of duty 2 and after playing on multiplayer for awhile, my map list got a little crowded, so i decided to unistall it and reinstall it. but when i tried to reinstall it, the install wizard would start, load, and stop. this has never happened before, please help me out! thanks in advance!
