I have a TS-H492A CD-writer drive in my machine that has been slowly acting up. Initially and randomly when the eject button was depressed the tray would open and then immediately close. It was completely random, sometimes it was normal. Now I'm running into issues when burning a CD, randomly I'm running into errors that either ruin the CD or corrupt some data. I thought about reinstalling/updating the driver but have not had any luck; seems like it is no longer supported?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

It could be dying, or just dirty. Fans typically suck air in though any crack, and a drive has many big ones. Try a canned of compressed dusting gas.
