hey, im in dire need guys... i had a windows 7 update and the power went out durning and i now cant recover or anything. at first i was getting a error code on boot, but then i went into windows.sxs in the pending file and deleted 0000000000000000.cdf-ms files and that got rid of the error code, but now instead of the error i get a black screen followed by a reboot to a repair or start windows normally menu.

Hi Howler :)

but now instead of the error i get a black screen followed by a reboot to a repair or start windows normally menu.

So what happens if you choose either one of the above options, still a black screen? Do you have the W7 installation disk? If yes follow the repair guide available @ http://www.sevenforu...ir-install.html
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
