Windows live movie maker

heey,
I've recently filmed some movies on my digital camera, they're in 'Quicktime Movie' format, i've tried putting them into Windows Movie Maker to edit them and it wont let me import them.
Could you please advise me on either:

- A method of importing them into WMM
Or
- Another program that I could use for it

I NEED THESE VIDEOS!
