dell webcam manager change default camera

how do I go about changing the webcam default on my xps? ...it only sees the intigrated camera and I would like to use a usb style so when we are video taping birthdays, holidays and such I dont have to keep moving the laptop i can just turn the exteral webcam.

is there a advanced change default (been hunting cant find) or do I just use a aftermarket program?
