Hey there

Not sure if this should be here, or in a forum for hardware...

My PC is unable to read blank CDs that I have in my drive... When I try to look at the content in explorer, it says "Please insert a disk into drive D:"... if i try to burn something on them with DeepBurner, it says there is insufficient space on the disks, even though they are blank.

Yet, when I insert a disk that already has content on it, my PC is able to read it perfectly.

So I tried the blank disks on another PC, but they worked fine.

I have tried this with two separate stacks of CDs and DVDs, one of them Memorex CD-Rs, and the other are FujiFilm DVD+R DLs... other disks in this stack have worked on my PC in the past, yet none of them work now.

It's like my PC is just suddenly unable to read blank CD-Rs only.

I have Windows XP SP3, Dell Dimension Intel 4, 3.0 GHz, 2.0 GB Ram.

Any ideas?

Thanks
