My computer keeps going to blue screen with the message, "problem detected & has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer". I've been reading your post regarding blue screen but since I'm not good with computers so I don't understand most of what I read.

Can someone tell me what disable BIOS memory option means & if that might help my problem? If not any help will be appreciated.

Is the BSOD happening on bootup or while in Windows?
Several ways to see the actual BSOD depending on the above situation. I am including instructions on how to find the BSOD message regardless of the way.
Outside Windows:

• Start your system and at the Second post screen tap on F8 to get to the Boot Menu
• Use the Arrow Keys to Scroll down to the line that says "Auto Start On Error" and highlight it.
• Click Enter to disable it
• The system should reboot and if not then do so.
• When the BSOD shows it will stop so that you can reply with the STOP ERROR and any parameters.

Inside Windows
Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

Click on the file you just downloaded and run it.

Put a tick in Accept then click on Next
Put a tick in the Don't create a start menu folder then click Next
Put a tick in Create a Desktop Icon then click on Install and make sure there is a tick in Launch Whocrashed before clicking Finish
Click Analyze
It will want to download the Debugger and install it Say Yes
WhoCrashed will create report but you have to scroll down to see it
Copy and paste it into your next reply
