Hi. I'm thinking of getting this one for the main drive: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820226236

I'm new to this and I don't know how SSD really works. Do I need some type of special cable to ensure I'd get the max write/read speeds? Do I need to worry about its compatibility with my motherboard?

I know I'd install a fresh windows on it and start everything anew. Please give me some pointers. Thanks.

Standard SATA connection. Just plug it in. Observe the gallery, it's a standard SATA connection. If your board has SATA it should work.
