You can close all opened applications.

And you should upload cbs-log.zip file. You uploaded cbs-log.bat file.:)

Neither of those.

Did you completed these steps below?
  • UnZip cbs-log.zip to your desktop.
  • Double click on cbs-log.bat icon.
  • CBS.log file will be on your desktop.
  • Please upload CBS.log file here and post a link to it in your next reply.

Yes, i tried those steps, here is your zip and its unzipped folder on my desktop. Each having 1 file inside. I double click on both files inside those 2 on my desktop but nothing happens? the file folder(on right) has ms-dos batch file. Your original zip seems to have the log.bat. but thats the one you gave me to download so i dont think you want that?

Please open Windows Explorer and navigate to: C:\windows\logs\cbs\ . Inside that folder should be a file CBS.log which I need you to upload.

The only log thats in there is a direct x text document. The other day i accidently extracted directx to my desktop, and it just put files all over my desktop, so i deleted them. This must be from that. But thats all i have in my C:\WINDOWS\Logs

OK. Leave this. I only wanted to see if sfc replaced some system files.

Now... Let me know what problems you currently have with your computer.

I thought windows still had to boot from the drive check as per instructions?

It doesn't?

Please answer to these questions:

What I need to know is how is your computer running now?

What problems you have when you use it?

Is it still slow?

Your computer is still freezing up?

Are you getting not responding errors?
