I am in quite a predicament, and am in dire need of assistance.
I have recently started having 'booting' problems, as you can call it, where when I turn it on, and it looks as if it's about to boot with the white line blinking at the top left.
Then a 'weird noise' starts coming from where (my guess) my Motherboard is located. As if it's trying to configure, but gives up and I get the following message...
PXE-E61 - Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F - Exiting PXE ROM
No bootable device, please insert boot disk and press any key.
Now, I have 'recovery disks' (3-set), but that only brought me to this screen...
Now preparing to start your new computer...
Type the name of the Command Interpreter (e.g., C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)
A>
Now, I have looked all over the internet, and have found absolutely no command to type in. But some say you can make it so it reads as follows... A> changes into C:>
But alas, I cannot get that to work either.
People say it's the motherboard having trouble issues, and needs to be replaced ($$$ D:)
But I am not going to waste money, I'd rather just get a new laptop.
Secondly, I have seen that the 'cable issue' can be fixed easily, but I dare not take it too far.
I really don't want to spend too much (if any) money on getting this fixed if it's really simple.

Thanks in advance for any answers!
