Mozilla, IE and Safari Virus.....Cannot do Safe Mode

Hello someone, anyone

I have a new virus I think. It closes my Firefox as soon as I open it, IE just hangs and never connects, Safari works for a few minuted then shuts down. My pc will not allow me to re-start in safe mode. I run malware bytes and had 4 items infected, cleaned them but problem persists. I tried to download otl but as soon as I try to download it everything disappears off my screen. Using Windows xp.
