Hmm. Windows 98 will always remain a mystery to me I guess.

Can you check if yyou have a copy of wininet.dll in C:\windows\options\cabs

If so, have it scanned to see if it is clean.

So, if you do a Find Files for wininet.dll the only one you find is the infected one in the system folder?

Is you Windows version english?

No other wininet.dll on the entire C drive. And my Windows 98 is definitely English.
