I don't know if you guys know anything about this product but you guys are smart so I hope somebody does.

OS: XP Home Edition

Bought a 'Dazzle DVC100 Platinum HD' capture card in April and it worked fine. Since then I've had my computer wiped twice for various reasons. I have all of the proper drivers for the product, and under Device Manager it says that it's working properly. But I tried two different softwares to record, and it didn't work.

Debut Professional "No valid capture device is found"

Windows Movie Maker "An unknown error has occurred" .. I even tried using different USB slots and it still did nothing.

I re-loaded service pack 3, fixed the drivers, and a couple other things I can't remember.
So if anybody could help me it would be much appreciated.

Hi Legend Gaming
It is possible for a driver or a device to be shown as working correctly when in fact it is not
Try downloading the latest drivers http://www.pinnacles...?viewDownload=1 save them somewhere safe that you will remember, uninstall all of the present pinnacle software, disconnect the card then reboot, install the new drivers and only connect the card when you are prompted to do so.
http://avid.custkb.c...sp?DocId=214017 may also help.

I cant find the proper drivers on the link you gave me.. could you give me a direct link to the download so that when I click it, it downloads? Thanks. By the way I don't have Pinnacle Studios installed. It worked recording before without Pinnacle Studios. It's a terrible editing program so I un-installed it.

Try http://driverscollec...7259c8688ddb1af or http://www.innovativ....com/drivermax/
I am only suggesting the free driver downloads and in no way suggesting that you use any other product or service at those links.

Ok lets see if PCPitstop highlights any issues that we havn`t covered;

Please Run the PCPitstop.com OverDrive Full Tests

Here's how:

You must use your Internet Explorer for this procedure. (doesn't work so well in Firefox or others). If your machine is running Vista or Windows 7, you must Select IE to “Run as Administrator”. After completing PCPitstop OverDrive you can close your IE browser and re-open it Normally so that you are no longer running as administrator.

Go to: http://www.pcpitstop.com
Click on "Free Computer Check-up" listed below PC Pitstop OverDrive
In the User Login - Click on "Sign up FREE!"
You'll need to submit a valid email address and create your own password, then click - Create Account(button)

Now enter your email address and password to Log in, Select - Scan this system Now!(button)
You will then be asked to download an ActiveX component and allow it to install.
It is safe and does not compromise your privacy.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the ActiveX and to allow the Full Tests to be run on your machine.

The Full Tests take about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes on most machines.
When complete, a Results - Summary - Recommended Fixes will be displayed.

Please post the URL internet address, from your Results, back here into this Topic Thread so that we can review the configuration and present performance levels of your machine.

Note: During the graphics 2D and graphics 3D testing, your screen will display some rapidly moving objects.
If you are sensitive to visual flashing, it may cause dizziness. Therefore, look away from the screen during that portion of the testing.

After reviewing the results we will be more informed and may be able to provide better recommendations for you to work towards improving your machine's performance.

While PCPitstop does offer a variety of Paid Products, the PCPitstop OverDrive testing is FREE. Please ignore the references to Paid Products. We prefer to provide manual solution instructions that you can apply directly to your machine.

Thanks to rshaffer61 for the above instructions

Can I ask did you previously use any third party recording or m.peg conversion software that has not been reinstalled.

Sorry Legend Gaming
I did respond yesterday but it must have been lost out there!!

Can I ask did you previously use any third party recording or m.peg conversion software that has not been reinstalled.

The above is what I asked + I also advised that you deal with the issues that PCPitstop had also identified.

Nope I only recorded with one of the 2 programs I originally mentioned. There is no m.peg conversion software that needs to be re-installed either.
and PC pitstop won't let me download whichever drivers or downloads I need. I had to take some pain medication earlier so I can't really figure out what I have to download.. Sorry. Could you possibly link me to what I need. Thanks in advance.

It is back to DriverMax for the drivers but you said earlier that you had tried the drivers available there;
http://www.innovativ....com/drivermax/ you need to create an account + you are only allowed to download two drivers per day for free which as you know is all that you need at present, the other highlighted issues can be dealt with by yourself, just click on each item and you will be advised as to how.
Please check for help with the Dazzle card @ http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/1279/ as I am unable to suggest anything further.
