Hey guys,

So if I plug anything, except a Logitech wireless mouse, into my USB drives I get a black screen and frozen computer. No error messages.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drives to no avail. I don't really know what else to try.

I called Toshiba about it and they wanted $70/hr to walk me through the solution, which I thought was lame. Anyway, does anybody have any thoughts?

It's a Toshiba Satellite
XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
Intel® Core™2 CPU
T5500 @ 1.66GHz
1.99 GB of Ram

Thanks Guys!

Hi tisoy505
Does this happen when the laptop is powered from the AC adapter?

Yeah. But the batteries are fried on the laptop so it's always plugged in.

Does this happen when the laptop is powered from the AC adapter and the battery is removed?
