Hi,

In the C Drive:

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

is this file:

cookie:[email protected]

Is it nasty and how do I get rid of it as Right Clicking - Delete does not remove it.

Regards

You don't mention any error codes, etc. Use Unlocker

Hi,
No error codes come up just won't delete.

Tried Unlocker but no go, it's still there.

Interesting thing is that its name changes.

Try this then delete it.

Start > Run > chkdsk /r > Press enter or OK > Type Y at the prompt > Reboot

When it comes back up, click Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > Press enter or OK > Go to Application, Type: Information, Source: Winlogon. Paste and copy to your next post.

Hi skifxr,

Firstly this is but one of the changes of the name of the file

@adserve.forumsmart

@w55c

Next I did as instructed but got a bit confused on the Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > Press enter or OK > Go to Application, Type: Information, Source: Winlogon.
But what do I Paste and copy?

If this is wrong, my apologies and you might have to give me simple steps:

Regards

Please edit your post and remove all that stuff. So much scrolling!

All I needed was this one...

Information 23/10/2011 5:37:24 PM Winlogon None 1001 N/A YOUR-4678038BAA

You double click on Winlogon and press the copy button.

Does the file delete now?

Hi skifxr,

Sorry about that but when I double clicked on Winlogon it took a few minutes to find the copy button.

The file is still there.
