Hey everyone:) I have a Toshiba laptop (Satellite p105). It was my neighbor's and she can't remember the BIOS password. sigh. I saved her stuff to a flash then did a factory cd total hard drive and partition wipe and guess what I get? Yep. Tried each of the original Toshiba cds again: 1 and 2 by doing an F12 boot from cd command. Nada.
And no, I don't have access to an XP cd.

My name is Lolly.
Oh ya. And my neighbor has multiple myleoma leukemia and does dialysis 3 times per week and her laptop so it's a really big goal of mine to fix it for her. Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Ciao

Did you change the boot sequence in the bios so that it was the following.
  • Cdrom
  • Hard drive
[/b]

Remember to save the settings before exiting.
Changing at the boot menu usually is worthless as it will normally still try the original boot sequence first.
