I need to get a new computer. I use quicken, excel and word. I do not use any photo or art programs. My hard drive has crashed on my pc twice, and I've heard Mac's have fewer problems. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you know that many Apple computers probably use the same hard drive that crashed on your PC? Apple is a different operating system but not much difference in hardware. eg Intel CPU's and AMD graphics, take a look at the tech specs on a Mac and compare the CPU, Graphics cards, and HD's to a similar high end Windows PC, you will find pretty much the same stuff under the hood.
Mac's having fewer hardware problems is a deceptive statement made by fanboys mostly IMO. Sorta like saying Fords with GM engines have less engine problems than GM's with GM engines.
Make yourself happy and get whichever one makes you and your bank account happy :)
