If Zonealarm includes the antivirus module then you should be good to go

Thanks for all your help it's much appreciated. One last question - Ive got Malwarebytes Anti malware and I thought I had Zonealarm free version running but it seems not to work when I click it, as there's not icon on the bottom bar and nothing opens. Should I pay for the Zonealarm Anti-virus and Firewall? If I do should I run this with the Malwarebytes or will that be a problem?

Rather than pay for the full vrsion of Zone Alarm why not match it with a free Antivirus.. I will give you a list in my order of preference All are compatible with MBAM

For the Zone Alarm problem download a fresh copy and overinstall and that should reset the start icons etc
