Hello,

Running an AMD 1900+ and my current clock speed is 1596. Is this normal (due to buss speed, etc.)?

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

The AMD 1900+ is simply the name for the processor NOT the speed.. This processor runs at 1.6 gHz so you are dead on!!

As per "The Tech Report"..

Today, AMD is taking things up another notch with the introduction of the Athlon XP 1900+. At 1.6GHz, this chip runs only 66MHz faster than the 1800+ model.
