I'm sorry if this has already been a topic. Recently I noticed that when I restart my laptop, a Samsung RF511 running Windows 7, there is an icon or a program that opens and closes within a second on the taskbar. The icon looks like there are three cogs or rings colored red green and yellow, and there is a grey line of sorts going through them (like through the center). I can't manage to get a screen cap of it because it opens and closes too quickly. I have no idea what it could be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to Geeks to go !
Have you looked in the task manager to see if anything odd is running there?

A very small program that simply lists the processes that Task Manager lists, including the full path name so you can see what program they are part of. You can easily copy and paste the list into a text file and paste it into a reply here so we can see it.

http://www.softwares...stProcesses.exe
  • click the link above when the box opens click Save file.
  • Save it to desktop.
  • Double click it, click run.
  • Select GETLIST
  • Scroll to bottom of window, choose Copy
  • Paste the list into your next reply.
We can see if anything odd is there perhaps.
