The Basics:I have Windows 7, a Toshiba Satellite Notebook PC with an HD port, an LAN port, 3 USB ports, touchpad is disabled on purpose, a wireless mouse

The Problem: I connected an HD cable from my PC thru my wall into the adjoining room with a large screen HD TV. I bought a 10 meter wireless mouse and keyboard to use with the large screen, so I wouldn't have to run back and forth working with documents, E-mails, etc.

History: Since installing both mouses, each with its own thumbnail USB connector 6 months ago, I had no trouble typing on the large screen as if I were doing the same actions on my PC.
Until a month ago, when a bunch of characters, mostly[[[[[ and {{{{ appeared out of nowhere inside E-mails, in documents and anywhere on the Internet I can type symbols. Once on, they are virtually impossible to remove. They are inside "Search programs and files" on my desktop.
I took my PC into a very reputable PC repair shop(they fixed my problems in the past, so I know they're good and reliable) and they assured me my PC is virus, spyware free. When I typed on my PC there, no problem.
When I got home, however, the same thing happened.I experimented by disabling the mouse and connector in my TV room, leaving the other mouse and connector plugged in to the PC directly. Voila! No problem! I can type without interferene, as I'm typing this now.
So, my question is this:Is there a way to use a wireless keyboard and mouse in each room, without the infiltration problems? By the way, I tried moving the PC mouse into the TV room and the cursor works fine, but I can't use it to insert or change, remove, insert or otherwise manipulate characters on my TV screen.
