Combofix should do that quite happily - if not I will construct a reg fix for you

Combofix has been doing something quite strange for me lately, around the Fix 49 or 50 it hangs for hrs, After I check the task manager i see a duplicate *.3xe file which I remove the newer one with smaller kb, and then combofix continues this has been happening the last 6 times i have run combofix. so i am hoping that it is not actually killing a process that should have been doing something

Hmm weird - not come across that before

I will construct a Vista exe fix for you

Download the attached zip file
Extract the registry file to your desktop
Right click the reg file and select merge
Accept all warnings and reboot

Did that fix it
