My computer is starting to act up. It is an HP 600-1120 and I have been getting two separate error messages when I run diagnostics: BIOHD-8 and HD521-2W. All I can research says my hard drive is failing. Is this true, or there another fix? Whenever I run Malwares anti-malware, it seems to freeze up on: microsoft.NET/framewor/v2.050727/mscorrc.dll.

I did not get back up discs with the computer and I never made a set.

Hi Conrad 678
Back up your HDD right away if there is data on it that you wish to secure then;

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech....ay.cfm?ttid=287
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.

NOTE. If your hard drive is made by Toshiba, unfortunately, you're out of luck, because Toshiba doesn't provide any diagnostic tool.

Thanks to Broni for the instructions :thumbsup:
