:tazz: My problem is this. I was playing a game on my home pc. The computer all the sudden froze. I did a hard restart because nothing else would work. Upon restart the comp froze during memory scan. So, i skipped memory scan hoping to get further into startup to fix the problem. It gets to desktop and freezes again. I attempted to fix in bios setup but it freezes as well. safe mode produces partition error notice then freeze, i have a 200 gb harddrive split into two drives. I found my self racing against the machines eventual freeze to re format it with a windowsxp cd but it freezes even during xp boot cd format. I thought maybe it was a hardware problem so i threw in new memory, now my comp is running with a single stick 1 gb of ram, before it was 512... thinking it might have been bad ram but met with same result. Still freezes on ram check if i let it start normal. Please HELP!!!!!!!! ;)
I have a:

intel pentium4 2.4 ghz processor
1 gb kingston 3200 ddr, previous memory was a 512 mb 2700 ddr
200 gb harddrive split two two drives
just put in a new sony dvd drive/burner
hercules 3d video card

I have similar problems that are caused by (I think, mytob.cp)

AVG removes incoming infections but not those that have taken root (is that a pun?).
