canoscan D1250U2, flatbed scanner working OK when computer was moved. Wouldn't work when I reconnected. Power supply went bad. New power supply installed. Unit will power up when preview is selected, but preview is completely black, when I select scan the scan head will try to move two times but will stop. I get this message : "Release lock switch, detach the USB cable and reconnect - close the scanner driver". Doing this does not cure problem. I know the scanner is not locked because the scan head moves when I select preview. I have uninstalled an reinstalled several times but still get the same message.
