Internet Won't Load Any Websites

I tried to get onto my internet today on my laptop, but no websites would load. The computer says that it's connected to the internet, and the signal is strong. I tried scanning my computer for viruses, but it didn't help. I have tried getting onto the internet using different browsers, but it won't load no matter which one I use. Does anybody know why my internet won't work when I'm connected to it?
