Hi,

I recently installed Windows 98 on a friends pc. First problem I encountered was that the pc had too much memory. So I removed a stick (suggested by another tech support forum) and tried again. Success...sort of.

It will only load to the splash screen before proceeding to a blank black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left corner.

I can boot to safe mode (without networking) but am not sure what to do from there to get it to load properly.

Please help!!!
