I live in a small town, and I don't really understand computers.

My Dell Inspiron n4010 was fine until last December, which is when a stage light was dropped onto it while an iPod was plugged in. We got the hard drive replaced a few days later, and it has been working since then. However, lately, when I turned it on after a long day from it, it led me straight to the menu where I select the option I will take to fix the errors. When I select Launch Startup Repair, the screen says, "Windows is loading files..." and then instead of the repair starting, it remains as a black screen. If I choose Start Windows Normally, the screen stops at the Starting Windows Screen. After a few minutes, I get the blue screen of death, and it returns me back to the menu.

What is the problem and the most simple solution?
