When I try to update Windows in Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update I receive the following error:Code 80070005 Windows update encountered an unknown error. A Google of that error code suggest permission issues.

So that is where I'm at. Computer is running fine (except for issue in Outlook where mouse pointer is constantly changing between pointer and round blue circle, I ran malware and virus and nothing reported) and the only way I discovered that Windows wasn't updating was when I attempted to install Turbo Tax it wouldn't because Windows wasn't update.

Matt

Edit: You already have a thread open on this that I was not able to help you with: http://www.geekstogo...ill-not-update/

Hopefully someone else has some ideas.

Good luck. Ztruker
