have a wee printer problem. I use an Epson SX400 and the magenta ran out. I changed it. It said it was full again but was not printing and magenta. I tried cleaning the nozzle heads and that didn't work so I put in a new magenta cartridge but problem still persists.

How many times did you run the print head cleaning utility? It often takes 5 or 6 times to get it printing, I typically run the cleaner, print a nozzle check and repeat until it clears.
This problem is typically caused from not printing often enough, I recommend printing at least one color page every 3 to 4 weeks at most. If you don't, you run the risk of the ink drying up, and if it dries up on the print head, the printer is shot.
You may be experiencing this, if you run the cleaning utility 5 or 6 times and still don't get any magenta, you will most likely have to replace the printer.

I don't think it's the lack of printing that's causing it - I print between 50 - 200 sheets a day, lol :) I will try the clean nozzle thing again.
