Step 1.

Right click the file and select Run as administrator...

If it still does not extract and run go on to Step 2.

Step 2.

On your good computer do the following:

You must have had a corrupt download, please delete it.

Please try to download it OTLPENet.exe from here again.

Right click the file and select Run as administrator... and it should extract followed by the program imgburn appearing on the screen and automatically burn the disk.

If this does not work go on to Step 3.

Step 3.

Please download OTLPEStd.exe from here to your desktop.

Right click the file and select Run as administrator... and it should extract followed by the program imgburn appearing on the screen and automatically burn the disk.

If none of these work please update me.

Alright so I got the cd burnt and in the infected comp when I press F8 or Del at startup it runs reatogo then I get hit with a blue screen

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

if this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen restart your computer. if this screen apears again follow these steps

check for viruses on your computer. remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive contorllers. check your harddrive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
run CHDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer

I am glad the disk was finally burnt. The error you received is common on modern machines with the BIOS setting of RAID Autodetect/AHCI

We need to go into the setup screens and set it to RAID Autodetect/ATA or RAID compatibility and to boot it up again.

  • When you get the splash screen at initial boot up hit F2 or Del to enter setup.
  • You will have to look through the screens to find the setting with RAID AHCI and change it to ATA or Compatibility.
  • Once you make the changes select Save changes and exit.
  • Then boot up on the CD and follow the directions in Post #26.

Please go back into setup and on the Advanced screen look for:

Controller options
or
System configuration

Click on that and a new page will open and the SATA mode will be there for you to change.

I have Main Advanced Security Boot and exit dont see anything like what im supposed to >.<

the only time ive seen anything to do with RAID is when the CD is trying to loading Reatogo (before the blue screen) it says somthing about Press f6 if you need to install secondary RAID or SCSI drivers (paraphrasing it happens to fast to tell exactly) however pressing f6 doesnt seem to do anything at that time

Will the disk you burned boot up on your good computer? If not you may need to burn a new disk, that happens sometimes.

Let's start with the OTH tool and see if we have success!

Step 1.

On the good computer:

Note: If using Firefox right-click on any download links and choose Save As

Please download OTH to your USB flash drive.
Please download OTL to your USB flash drive.
Please use the scan.txt file we already have on your USB flash drive.

Boot up the ailing computer in Normal mode and copy all three files to the desktop.

Double click the OTH file to run it and click Kill All Processes, your desktop will go blank.

Posted Image

Then select Start OTL. OTL will now run

  • Double-click on the Custom Scans box and a message box will popup asking if you want to load a custom scan from a file
Select Scan.txt that you placed on the desktop.
  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan won't take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Copy these logs to your USB drive and insert the drive in your good computer.
  • Post these logs in your next reply.

Enter System Recovery Options.

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:

  • Click on Repair your computer menu item.
  • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.

  • Select your user account and click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

Startup Repair
System Restore
Windows Complete PC Restore
Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Command Prompt

  • Select Command Prompt
  • Type sfc /scannow (make sure you leave a single space between sfc and /scannow)
  • Hit Enter
  • Reboot the computer into normal mode and try to open a program.
  • If it works then run OTL with scan.txt and post it.
  • If it does not work reboot and as soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
  • Click on Last Known Good Configuration menu item.
  • When it finishes booting try a program again.
  • If it works then run RogueKiller and OTL with scan.txt and post the results.
  • If not then please update me in your next reply.

SCR /scannow has told me to reboot and run it again three times now should I keep rebooting or try the next step?

Edit: last known good boot also did not work
