Simply put, my shutdown option and task manager have disappeared. When I want to shutdown now I need to go to the 'log off' option and then hit shutdown from there. One would think the 'power button action' option within the start menu properties would let me easily switch back to the shutdown option. This is not the case though. There are no options for shutdown or restart within the 'power button action' menu whatsoever.

As far as the task manager, CTRL+ALT+DEL no longer shows the option for task manager and the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC doesn't bring it up either.

I'm running Windows 7, updated frequently. I constantly run Comodo firewall along with Microsoft Security Essentials.

It seems like I might have changed something on accident, but honestly I have no idea how this happened and I'm not one to go around messing with my settings.

THANKS :help:

When did this occur? If recently, use System Restore to go back to before it happened.

If that doesn't help then I would suggest you go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.
