Hello, I need a freeware software for file encryption. Actually I use KAKA File Encryption but the last update was in 2009. I am looking a software easy to use, and portable, so I can transfer my files and open them in another computer without the program.

Another way I found is to use WinRAR but I dunno if the algorithm is secure.

Thanks.

I am not sure if you have looked on Google yet, but these are among the first half dozen programs listed -

Axantum Software AB | AxCrypt | File Encryption Software
TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software ...
SafeHouse Explorer is a smaller, simpler, free program
Cryptainer LE Free Encryption Software 9.2.0
