My daughter's computer froze up and keep displaying error message(spool error) when you turn it on. It won't do anything, the desktop comes up but then the error message displays and it won't let me do anything else. I don't have the original documentation that comes with the computer because it was given to me, but have not had any problems with it for 2 years now. Can anyone help? I really don't want to have to pay anyone to look at it, with the prices of computers today I could just buy a new one. I know with windows xp I can do a full recovery but I don't know if I can do it with windows me?

The actual message was "Spool32 has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL-Spool32 will now close." But it didn't close and wouldn't allow me to do anything. I unplugged the printer and restarted. This time a QTASK error came up just like the Spool32, but I could see the close button was highlighted so I hit ENTER and it went away. I am still not showing a mouse pointer and am unable to do anything. I have checked the mouse and it works fine on my computer???!!!!
